MultiCook Function: Soup
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 tsp garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- ½ cup carrot (finely chopped)
- ½ cup beans (finely chopped)
- ½ cup cabbage (shredded)
- ¼ cup capsicum (finely chopped)
- ½ cup broccoli florets
- 1½ tbsp cornflour mixed in ¼ cup water (optional – for thickness)
- 3 cups water or vegetable stock
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp soy sauce (optional)
- Chopped spring onions for garnish (optional)
PROCEDURE
- Switch on Sauté Mode in the MultiCook. Add oil or butter and let it heat.
- Add chopped garlic and onion. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until soft.
- Add all the chopped vegetables, including broccoli. Stir and sauté for another 2–3 minutes.
- Pour in water or stock. Add salt, pepper, and soy sauce (if using).
- Cancel Sauté mode. Close the lid and select the 'Soup' preset.
- Let the MultiCook complete the cooking. It will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode when done.
- Once pressure releases naturally, open the lid.
- If you prefer a thicker soup, switch to Sauté mode, add cornflour slurry, and simmer for 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with spring onions.
