Classic Italian Pasta Penne Alla Arrabiata
A spicy and tangy Italian pasta cooked in a garlicky tomato-chili sauce, made effortlessly in the MultiCook.
Ingredients :
1. 1 cup penne or fusilli pasta
2. 1 cup tomato puree
3. 1 small onion (finely chopped)
4. 2 garlic cloves (minced)
5. 1 tsp red chili flakes
6. 1 tsp Italian seasoning or mixed herbs
7. 1 tbsp olive oil
8. 1½ cups water or vegetable stock
9. ½ tsp black pepper
10. Salt to taste
11. Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
12. Grated parmesan or cheese (optional)
Procedure :
1. Switch on Sauté mode. Add olive oil, then sauté garlic and onion for 2–3 minutes.
2. Add tomato puree, chili flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until thick.
3. Add pasta and water/vegetable stock. Stir well to coat.
4. Cancel Sauté mode and select Manual (8 minutes).
5. Let it cook, then allow natural pressure release.
6. Open the lid, mix well, and garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Add cheese if desired.
