Jaggery & Date Dosa Wrap
A crispy dosa filled with a sweet and aromatic jaggery and date spread, garnished with walnuts for added crunch.
Ingredients :
Dosa Batter
1. Rice 300 g
2. Urad Dal 75 g
3. Salt 1/2 tsp
4. Sugar 1/2 tsp
Stuffing
1. Jaggery 50 g
2. Honey 1/2 tsp
3. Cardamom powder A pinch
4. Dates 10 g
5. Walnut 4 pcs
Procedure :
1. Wash and soak the rice and urad dal overnight. Blend them with salt and sugar to form a thick, smooth batter. Ferment the batter in a warm place for 8-10 hours until light and fluffy.
2. Prepare the stuffing by blending jaggery, honey, dates, and cardamom powder into a smooth paste. Add water as needed to adjust the consistency to a spreadable form.
3. Heat a dosa tawa over medium heat. Grease it lightly with oil and sprinkle water to ensure an even temperature. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the tawa and spread it into a perfect circle. Cook until the dosa turns golden brown and crispy.
4. Serve the dosa warm on a plate with an extra dollop of the jaggery-date spread on the side for a wholesome, sweet treat.
