What You'll Need
Oats Upma
A light and fibre-rich upma made with rolled oats and vegetables — ideal for a healthy start to the day or a quick evening meal.
Ingredients :
1. ½ cup rolled oats
2. 1 tsp oil
3. ½ tsp mustard seeds
4. ½ tsp urad dal
5. 1 sprig curry leaves
6. 1 small onion (finely chopped)
7. 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
8. ¼ cup finely chopped carrot
9. 2 tbsp green peas
10. Salt to taste
11. 1¼ cups water
Procedure :
1. Switch on Sauté mode in the MultiCook. Add oil.
2. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
3. Add onion and green chilli. Sauté until soft.
4. Add chopped carrot and peas. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
5. Add oats and roast lightly for 1–2 minutes.
6. Add water and salt. Stir well.
7. Cancel Sauté mode. Close the lid.
8. Select the Steam function and cook for 3–4 minutes.
9. Let pressure release naturally.
10. Fluff gently with a fork and serve warm.
