What You'll Need
Paneer Butter Masala
Soft paneer cubes in a velvety, mildly spiced tomato and butter gravy — a restaurant-style dish made easily in one pot.
Ingredients :
1. 200 g paneer (cubed)
2. 1 tbsp butter
3. 1 tbsp oil
4. 1 small onion (finely chopped)
5. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
6. 2 tomatoes (puréed)
7. 8–10 cashews (soaked and ground to a paste)
8. ½ tsp turmeric powder
9. 1 tsp red chilli powder
10. 1 tsp coriander powder
11. ½ tsp garam masala
12. ½ tsp sugar (optional)
13. Salt to taste
14. ¼ cup fresh cream
15. Fresh coriander or kasuri methi for garnish
16. Water as needed (for adjusting consistency)
Procedure :
1. Switch on Sauté mode in the MultiCook. Heat butter and oil together.
2. Add onions and sauté until soft and golden.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
4. Add tomato purée and cook until oil begins to separate.
5. Add cashew paste, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
6. Cook for 2–3 minutes, adding a splash of water if needed.
7. Add paneer cubes and stir gently to coat with the gravy.
8. Add cream, garam masala, and sugar. Simmer for 2 minutes.
9. Cancel Sauté mode and rest covered for 2–3 minutes.
10. Garnish with coriander or kasuri methi. Serve hot with naan, roti, or jeera rice.
